Katy was recommended to me as the best person to run a chair yoga session for my division's corporate 'away day'. The entire process of organising the session was so smooth; Katy responded to emails quickly, provided all necessary information, and was accommodating and flexible to our requests. The session itself went very well; Katy was an excellent teacher, and adapted to the room (as we had certain logistical restrictions in the venue). Multiple attendees commented how they had enjoyed it, thought it was valuable, and appreciated how Katy answered their questions and provided variations. I would definitely recommend Katy for a corporate yoga class!​

I booked Katy for a corporate class for the first time our company had ever done anything like this, to support mental health awareness week. We had 11 people on the first class, some novices and others clearly skilled already in yoga. Katy had designed the class for all so that people didn’t push too much for their first time, and those used to yoga could do more, which was great and really well received. We’ve since booked and had the 2nd class after the great response we’ve had from the team, look forward to booking more for our site with Katy.

I never thought I’d give a Yoga review 5 stars but this is fully deserved.

I’m 61, played many sports over too many years, and suffered many injuries. Largely, I’ve ignored the warning signs of stiffness and shrugged them off by stretching before and warming down afterwards, but as I’ve become more sedentary (slower), slightly less lithe (fatter), and less active (lazy), I’ve realised it’s time to do something about it before I can no longer move.

So, after years of back pain from disc injuries, I joined my wife in private yoga classes at home with both of us being beginners (And both knowing the pressure of group classes wouldn’t work for us.) What a difference it has made to my posture and pain levels. For various reasons, I’ve been suffering in pain with lower disc issues, and Katy’s teaching methods allow me to participate to a level I can achieve. Recently (after another great session), I am relatively pain-free for the first time in several weeks. It doesn’t completely stop injuries, but it greatly assists in pain management, and I am so much more flexible after only a few weeks of Yoga. Not only can I see my toes again, but I can almost touch them, and sitting on the mat during the yoga is so much easier.

Katy is the type of teacher who encourages you to be your best and in a way that I look forward to the classes each week. She is so easy going and observant of any stresses and offers easy alternatives where she can if one particular stretch or position is too taxing. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

Katy does monthly sessions with my company and I look forward to them every time. I like how she gives different options for different abilities and slightly changes the methods so always learning new techniques. When it comes to the guided meditation, her voice is so calming and relaxing that it is really unwinding and reduces stress from the day. I would recommend anyone to her regardless of experience with yoga/pilates.

As part of our Wellbeing agenda, La Fosse engaged Katy for a corporate yoga class for our Birmingham team. Katy sourced a venue in central Birmingham where we could do hold a hot yoga session and delivered a great session consisting of strength and mobility work, and finishing with breathing and mindfulness. Feedback from the team was excellent with everyone enjoying the session and finding it a hugely beneficial break from being sat in the office and the challenges of work. We're looking forward to our next session and would highly recommend Katy to Birmingham based organisations to support their teams.

Cannot thank Katy enough for being the instructor who gave me the yoga bug! I started practising with Katy in a corporate class at work then went on to do as many of her other classes as I could as I enjoyed them so much. Her classes are truly fantastic and adaptable for all levels as you start as a real beginner and go from there. Katy’s yoga classes have always been my favourite and they gave me the confidence to continue practising when I started out as a real novice and then pushed me to progress as I improved. Katy's online yoga classes are great! The movements are explained clearly and are easy for me to follow. She is encouraging and calming and the class increases my core strength and relaxes me whilst breaking up my working day. I recommend these classes.

Katy is an amazing yoga teacher. Her sessions are dynamic and she guides people through postures suitable for all bodies and abilities. She gave me so much time when I was her student- suggesting postures and movements for my individual practice and supported me through things I couldn’t do properly (pigeon pose haha!) with such kindness and understanding. She’s one of the special ones: the most wonderful teacher and a beautiful soul.

My first experience of yoga began during lockdown as a way of adding exercise to the day in addition to the daily walk! My husband and I were introduced to Katy by friends who had had a similar thought process and as a result we began our weekly lesson. Yoga practise soon became a non negotiable activity for us. Katy is an excellent teacher and has guided us through yoga poses and stretches that have incrementally increased our flexibility and core strength. Week on week she challenges us with a variety of exercises that flow seamlessly from one to the other and as a consequence the hour flies! We can’t recommend Katy highly enough.

After going through breast cancer treatment a few years ago, I was put in touch with Katy to have some 1-1 sessions during treatment. Katy was incredible, adapting to my requirements each week and changing her sessions to suit my ever changing aches and pins from chemo! We also incorporated meditation into the session which really helped me to relax. Katy’s knowledge of yoga and her calm, soothing manner really did help me to get through everything! It was so lovely to have something to look forward to every week. I still have sessions with Katy regularly and I honestly can say it’s helped me so much both, physically and mentally. In amongst the craziness of the lockdown trilogy of the past 18 months, there have also been some glimmers of joy. Katy has definitely been that for me! I've been practicing yoga at yogahaven for some time now in Richmond, but had never had the joy of one of Katy's classes as she's Birmingham based. As everything moved online, Katy's Tuesday night hatha yoga practice became one of my absolute staples. Katy's teaching is something I aspire to [as a newly qualified yoga teacher]. She is calming, well paced and gives REALLY great cues that actually match up to how a pose feels - something that sounds simple but doesn't happen as often as you'd think! In amongst all of that calm, Katy's classes also helped my develop my own practice - she offers varying levels for many poses which is great for when I wanted to go that bit further.
